In 1980 Telsec ess started as a manufacturer of PCB’s (Printed Circuit Boards), mainly for the music and security industry. Due to a rapid growth of the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) security market, emphasis was put on security electronics. The superior quality of the electronics met a wide response throughout the world and Telsec ess went through a substantial growth with security becoming the core business.

Up until the beginning of the 1990s, Telsec ess developed and manufactured as an OEM manufacturer. After numerous take-overs and mergers within the EAS marketplace, Telsec ess decided to market their electronic systems as an independent company.
